Screen Shot 2013-12-30 at 9.40.29 AMOn New Year’s Day Hallmark Abstract Service President Michael Haltman along with his son will be participating in the annual Polar Bear Plunge that takes place at Coney Island, New York!

They are doing this in part to help raise awareness for the National Bone Marrow Donation Registry at BeTheMatch.org as well as to help raise money for Camp Sunshine (A retreat for children with life threatening illnesses and their families).

The driving force for this effort is the fact that one of Michael’s daughter will be donating marrow in early 2014 for a patient suffering with a blood cancer.

Being in the Registry and having the chance to provide a patient with the potential to get well, is as special a gift as there is.

If you can’t join us in the plunge, please use the link above to enroll in the Registry!

If you would like to participate in the New Year’s Day swim as well, the team sign-up can be found here: http://www.crowdrise.com/bonemarrowregistryawareness/fundraiser/michaelhaltman
