In what will be the first time that a U.S. Open is going to be played in the Pacific Northwest, Chambers Bay golf course in Washington is the site for the event that officially starts Thursday!
Chambers Bay is a links-style course that you would typically expect to find on the East End of Long Island, the UK, Ireland and Scotland, not necessarily in the northwest United States.
The course features one tree, wildly undulating greens and hard and dry fairways that come with a view of Puget Sound.
And, if you don’t believe the part about the wildly undulating greens, check-out this putt by Bubba Watson during a practice round that looks like something you might see at a miniature golf course.
Front-Nine Flyover
From Fox Sports this is an aerial view of the front-nine at Chambers Bay.
And while I don’t know much about golf (other than I’m not very good at it), it seems to me that the winning score will definitely be somewhere above par!
