Michael Haltman Of Hallmark Abstract Service Named To The Board Of The Heroes To Heroes Foundation!

By | September 25, 2015

ARE YOU AWARE THAT EACH AND EVERY DAY MORE THAN 22 VETERANS IN THE UNITED STATES ARE COMMITTING SUICIDE?

It’s a jarring statistic and one that spotlights the critical importance of organizations that specifically work to help those Americans who have put their lives on the line to protect our way of life and freedom!

This fact leads to the Heroes to Heroes Foundation (HTH).

HTH works tirelessly to ‘provide a spiritual healing, suicide prevention, and peer support program for veterans who suffer from Moral Injury and PTSD.’

HTH accomplishes this through a program that has proven to be extremely successful in helping those U.S. veterans suffering with PTSD overcome and emotionally thrive.

Regardless of religious affiliation HTH takes a team of 10 veterans at a time on a journey to Israel that combines spirituality with social and emotional bonds that are forged with Israeli counterparts who may be dealing with many of the same issues.

Each team member is expected to commit to his or her team to support one another and be there for one another to help with transitioning back to civilian life (the next team will be leaving October 18, 2015).

Beyond the success of the program, by itself incredibly impressive, what also drew me to Heroes to Heroes is the fact that it is currently an entirely volunteer organization and that over 90% of the funds raised go directly to serving our veterans.

As an example of a partnership that HTH has recently forged, for every ticket that is sold to the movie AWOL-72 due to be released today, $1 will be donated to Heroes to Heroes Foundation.

It’s for these reasons that Michael am extremely proud to announce that I have been added to the Board of Heroes to Heroes Foundation and he looks forward to serving to help turn the statistic of 22 veterans a day committing suicide into 0!
