On September 24 at MetLife Stadium the New York Urban League (NYUL) will be holding its 43rd Annual Football Classic pitting Morgan State University against Howard University!
This past week I was invited to an event at MetLife Stadium by Nkrumah Pierre that he was hosting with the New York Urban League.
The dual purpose was to highlight the work the that the NYUL does throughout New York City and to promote the NYUL Football Classic being held September 24, 2016 for the 43rd year!
I was extremely impressed both by the depth and breadth of the people in attendance along with the incredible passion of NYUL President Arva Rice and Director of Special Events Khalilah Bates when they spoke about the NYUL and its mission to ‘enable African Americans and other underserved ethnic communities to secure a first-class education and economic self-reliance…’

The 43rd Annual New York Urban League Football Classic
‘The 43rd Annual NYUL Football Classic will take place on September 24, 2016 at MetLife Stadium. This year’s Classic will feature Howard University vs Morgan State University.
